Overview
We\’re hiring two experienced Site Supervisors to support a major substation project across Hertfordshire and Norfolk. These roles are ideal for professionals with a strong background in civil and M&E works, looking to lead on-site delivery while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
Base pay range
Contract: 6-month rolling (2-year project)
Rate: £400/day
Start Date: 26/08/2025
Location: Hertfordshire & Norfolk (travel required)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site activities and subcontractors
- Ensure CDM and safety compliance
- Lead reporting and interface with clients and stakeholders
- Support commissioning, fencing, and civil/M&E works
- Promote best practice and maintain high standards
Requirements
- 5+ years in T&D industry (preferably National Grid sites)
- Supervisory experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant safety and site qualifications (e.g., CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- HNC/HND in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Temporary Works experience
- SR163 authorisation (or willingness to work towards)
