Contract Length: 6-month rolling (2-year project)
Day Rate: £400/day
Key Responsibilities
- Support Site Manager and oversee subcontractor activities
- Interpret and maintain site/construction/rebar drawings
- Set out, level, and survey site works
- Verify subcontractor compliance with drawings and specifications
- Maintain site records, QA documentation, and as-built data
- Manage temporary works as TWC
- Ensure material and installation quality standards
- Handle Technical Queries and RFIs
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams
- Promote health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Lead by example in SHEQ standards
- Issue Permits to Dig and ensure drawing compliance
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
- SMSTS, SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in T&D industry (preferably on National Grid sites)
- National Grid Person certification is mandatory
- National Grid Competent Person NSI 6 & 8 (Full) – highly desirable
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor experience
- Strong civils and substation installation background
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to travel nationally and work 50 hours/week
