This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing global engineering and manufacturing company operating within the industrial sector, where you will take ownership of a high-value product portfolio and play a key role in driving margin performance, pricing strategy and product-market alignment. The business has grown significantly over the past five years, with continued investment in its people, products and industrial manufacturing operations. Its products are used across industrial environments and infrastructure sectors, where performance, reliability and application understanding are critical.

You will own a multi-brand, engineered product portfolio valued at £25m+, operating in a technically complex and high-performance product environment. The role has a strong commercial focus, with particular emphasis on driving gross margin improvement, refining pricing strategy, and leading portfolio analysis, while supporting both P&L performance and sales growth. You will act as the link between customer, product and market, helping to shape strategy and ensuring the portfolio is competitive, clearly positioned and commercially successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full product lifecycle from strategy through to phase-out
  • Drive gross margin improvement across the product portfolio
  • Define and implement pricing strategy and value proposition
  • Lead detailed portfolio analysis, segmentation and rationalisation
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, product application and market drivers within industrial markets
  • Act as the voice of the customer, translating insight into commercial and product decisions
  • Support, influence and help direct sales teams across B2B and B2C channels
  • Work closely with OEMs, distributors and commercial teams
  • Support P&L performance through product strategy and commercial decision-making
  • Support new product development (NPD) with a focus on value-driven improvements
  • Influence stakeholders across a cross-functional, matrix organisation
  • Work closely with engineering and operations to ensure product viability and performance
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Experience as a Senior Product Manager or Product Manager within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment where physical products are designed and produced
  • Background in engineering, industrial manufacturing, or industrial product environments
  • Experience managing high-complexity, engineered or manufactured products
  • Strong experience in portfolio analysis, pricing and margin management
  • Experience in B2B and/or B2C product environments
  • Strong commercial mindset with focus on margin, growth and product performance
  • Ability to understand customer, product and market dynamics in detail
  • Experience supporting and influencing sales teams
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, matrix organisation
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
