Are you a Production Manager or experienced Production Supervisor with a background in manufacturing or assembly environments? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established Engineering & Manufacturing business, based in the North‑West of London, that is part of a growing Global Engineering, Manufacturing & Technology Group. In this role, you will lead shop floor operations and drive production performance.

Role Overview

As a Production Manager / Supervisor, you will lead day‑to‑day operations across a mixed manual and automated production and assembly environment, ensuring performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity. The site hosts about 30‑35 employees and includes machining, assembly and support functions, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and operational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support day‑to‑day production operations from order through to dispatch.
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity KPIs.
  • Lead, develop and motivate shop floor teams.
  • Support and deliver lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Improve production efficiency, consistency and output across assembly and machining.
  • Support production planning and scheduling activities.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain and operations teams.
  • Build accountability, structure and engagement across the shop floor.

Requirements

  • Experience in a production leadership role such as Production Manager, Production Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • Background in manufacturing, engineering or assembly environments.
  • Experience leading or managing shop floor teams.
  • Strong people‑management and communication skills.
  • Hands‑on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
  • Understanding of production processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to drive performance and engage teams effectively.
