We are seeking an experienced Principal Contractor Site Manager to lead the civil engineering package on a challenging National Grid substation build in Bristol. This is a high-profile infrastructure project requiring a proven leader with deep expertise in National Grid standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all site activities related to the civil engineering scope of the substation build.
- Ensure full compliance with National Grid safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain site records, manage risk assessments, and lead daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Act as the main point of contact for all site-related matters.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing civil engineering works on National Grid substation projects.
- Full National Grid PSCM SR163 authorisation, including: NSI6 & NSI8 Competent Person, National Grid Person, National Grid HSG47, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), First Aid at Work, Environmental Awareness, CCNSG Safety Passport.
