The Opportunity:
This is a key role on a major substation programme where you will be responsible for overseeing site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standards. Although the project is not due on site until August, the client is keen to interview over the coming weeks to secure the right team ahead of mobilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with HSEQ standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Monitor progress against programme and report on milestones.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly within regulated environments.
- Support commissioning and handover phases where required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on substation, power, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong bias in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
- Experience working to strict standards, ideally within National Grid DNOs (UKPN, SSEN, SPEN, WPD, etc.) and rail infrastructure environments.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- 3 Day First Aid at Work
