A leading engineering organisation is seeking an Engineering Design Manager to lead the delivery of complex mechanical systems across a range of high-value, safety-critical projects. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for technical direction, team development, and design governance.

The Engineering Design Manager Role

  • Lead and manage a team of up to 10 engineers
  • Oversee engineering design from concept through to manufacture

What We're Looking For

  • A strong academic background in Mechanical or General Engineering (MEng, MSc preferred)
  • Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards it
  • Significant experience delivering bespoke engineering design projects, with a proven track record in leadership roles
  • Deep understanding of high-integrity systems and working within regulated industries
  • Hands-on experience with FEED, Design for Manufacture, and full lifecycle engineering
  • A confident communicator and team leader, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance within 6 months of joining
