Hours: Full time / Part time 20-25 hours per week, normally 7:30am-9am & 3pm-6pm, term time (with the option to enhance your earnings working up to 40 hours per week overtime during School Holidays)

At Progressive, we are recruiting a dedicated and adaptable Children Support Worker to work across multiple primary school settings. This role involves supporting children in KS1 and KS2 through structured activities, group engagement, and wraparound care provision. You will work closely with school staff to support behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing, helping to create safe, positive, and inclusive learning environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in education, childcare, youth work, or support roles who is looking for a rewarding and active position working across multiple settings.
Key Responsibilities- Support children’s engagement through structured activities and group sessions
- Assist with before and after-school wraparound care
- Work alongside school staff to promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
- Help deliver safe, inclusive indoor and outdoor activities
- Support pupils with social development, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment in line with safeguarding policies
- Work across multiple primary school sites within the local area
- Experience working with children or young people (e.g. schools, childcare, youth work, support roles)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident supporting groups of children in structured environments
- Good understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Flexible and adaptable approach to multi-site working
- Aware of safeguarding (training provided if needed)
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full UK driving licence preferred due to travel between schools
- Part time / Full time roles available
