ECI Project Engineer | Food & Beverage | Capital Projects | Remote UK | £45,000 - £70,000 An Global Engineering consultancy delivering complex capital projects across the multiple process sectors is seeking an EC&I Project Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This opportunity is likely to suit an EC&I Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer or Control Systems Engineer looking to take ownership of capital projects from concept through to commissioning. Working within a collaborative project delivery environment, you will support the delivery of major capital investment and process improvement projects for leading manufacturing clients across the UK and internationally. Unlike many traditional EC&I engineering positions, this role offers significant exposure to project delivery, client engagement, contractor management and commissioning activities rather than purely detailed design work. The ECI Project Engineer Role As an EC&I Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects within highly automated manufacturing environments. Responsibilities for the ECI Project Engineer will include: Managing EC&I aspects of capital engineering projects Developing User Requirement Specifications (URS) Producing and reviewing Functional Design Specifications (FDS) Coordinating electrical, controls and instrumentation activities Supporting automation and process control system implementation Managing engineering contractors and equipment suppliers Client stakeholder engagement and technical leadership Site surveys and technical assessments Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Installation, commissioning and project handover activities Technical documentation, reporting and project governance Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget What We're Looking For Experience within EC&I, Controls, Automation or Electrical Engineering A background delivering projects within manufacturing or process industries Knowledge of industrial control systems, instrumentation or process automation Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Practical and solutions-focused engineering approach Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK / interntionally as required Why Join?
