Are you a Product Manager with experience working on physical engineered or manufactured products, looking to take ownership of a product portfolio within a global engineering business? This is an opportunity to join a Global Engineering & Manufacturing company at their UK Engineering & Manufacturing HQ near Stevenage. This Engineering & Manufacturing business designs, manufactures and assembles physical industrial products, so this role is not suited to backgrounds in software, digital, AI or service-based products.
The Product Manager Role
As a Product Manager, you will take ownership of a range of products, ensuring they deliver against commercial targets while identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, and sales teams, using data and insight to support decision making and product performance.
Key Responsibilities of the Product Manager
- Manage the performance of product lines, ensuring sales, margin, and growth targets are achieved
- Support new product introduction activities from concept through to launch
- Develop pricing strategies and product positioning to improve market performance
- Analyse demand, forecasts, and product data to support planning and decision-making
- Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure product availability and efficiency
- Assess market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities
- Support business planning processes including forecasting, inventory and lifecycle management
- Use data and reporting to highlight risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Requirements for the Product Manager Role
- Degree in Engineering or Business-related field
- Experience in a Product Manager role within engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage product performance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data, forecasting and analysis
- Experience supporting new product introduction or lifecycle management
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and commercial teams
- Experience working with ERP, forecasting or planning systems is beneficial
