We're working alongside a client in order to find them a CAT 3 Authorised Electrician for their SSEN substation project in the Hampshire area. You would be carrying out the outstanding HV and LV electrical installations, terminations, multicore/control wiring and protection panel works. In addition to this, you would support the testing and commissioning sequence. This is a contract role starting ASAP and finishing in early December. Working days are Monday to Friday, with programmed outage/out-of-hours working. Install and terminate earthing transformer and NER neutral cabling; Install and terminate 132kV and 33kV outdoor multicores; pull and terminate LVAC board cabling. HV/LV relay panel internal wiring, wall-box terminations and trunking, glanding and terminating multicores, RS485 and 10-pair communications cabling, and fuse-carrier replacement. Support the commissioning engineer through functional, NER, VT, isolator, CB, relay secondary injection, control panel, AVC, SCADA, stability, intertripping and interlock testing and energisation. maintain quality and installation records. Demonstrable hands-on experience as an electrician on high voltage substations (33kV/132kV): HV/LV terminations, busbar and conductor connections, multicore installation and protection/relay panel wiring. Experience supporting substation commissioning and working to safety documentation in a live/part live environment. C&G 2360/2365 (or equivalent) electrical installation; SHEA Power / EUSR utility safety passport and CSCS/ECS card; Full UK driving licence.
