About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major substation construction project in West London. This is a site-based role requiring attendance 3-4 days per week, with the remainder of the time working remotely or from a designated office. You will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of the project, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and value delivery throughout the build phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor project costs and budgets
- Prepare and review subcontractor packages and valuations
- Conduct site measurements and valuations
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and IR35 regulations
- Provide accurate and timely cost reporting and forecasting
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on infrastructure or substation projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and on-site 3-4 days per week
