Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a rapidly expanding SME specialising in electro-mechanical systems. This position, based in Southampton, will see you playing a pivotal role in developing solutions for multiple high-tech industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and rail.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nDesign and development of power electronics systems.\\nImplementation of electronics packaging to enhance system reliability.\\nExecution of EMC compliance measures.\\nConducting thermal and stress analysis to ensure product integrity under operational conditions.\\nUtilising 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for design and simulation.Skills required:\\n\\nElectronics Packaging: Skilled in designing packaging solutions that protect sensitive electronic components.\\nEMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility): Proficient in applying EMC standards to prevent or minimise electromagnetic interference.\\nThermal & Stress Analysis: Ability to perform detailed analysis to predict the performance under thermal and mechanical stresses.\\nSolidWorks Proficiency: Expertise in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and analysis, with additional experience in SolidWorks Flow and vibration environments being highly desirable.This permanent role is ideal for someone looking to further their career with a dynamic company at the forefront of technology innovation.
