About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of major National Grid infrastructure projects. Working for a leading infrastructure contractor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of significant power transmission schemes, ensuring strong commercial governance, effective risk management and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of major infrastructure projects
- NEC3/NEC4 contract administration
- Cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
- Compensation Events, Variations and Claims
- Subcontract procurement and management
- Final Accounts
- Commercial risk management
- Stakeholder and client relationship management
- Supporting operational teams with commercial decisions
Requirements
- Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a Senior QS or Managing QS
- Strong NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract knowledge
- Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages
- CVR, forecasting and reporting experience
- Proven background in utilities, energy, power transmission, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- National Grid project experience
- Electricity Transmission or Substation projects
- Utilities or Power sector background
