Are you a Production Manager with experience leading teams in a manufacturing or assembly environment? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in North West London (Part of a Global Engineering Technology Group), where you will take ownership of shop floor operations and drive performance across a growing site.

The Production Manager Role:

  • Lead day-to-day operations across a mixed manual and automated production environment, ensuring performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
  • Responsible for leading a team of c.15 direct reports within a site of around 30-35 employees, working across machining, assembly and support functions while driving continuous improvement and team development.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager:

  • Manage day-to-day production operations from order through to dispatch.
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, delivery and productivity KPIs.
  • Lead, develop and motivate a long-tenured shop floor team.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Improve structure, consistency and accountability across production.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet demand.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain and commercial teams.
  • Support operational improvements and ongoing site development initiatives.

Requirements for the Production Manager Role:

  • Experience as a Production Manager, Production Lead or similar within manufacturing.
  • Experience managing teams of 10-20+ people in a shop floor environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Background within engineering, manufacturing or assembly environments.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to engage, influence and lead experienced teams.
  • A proactive, delivery-focused mindset.
