We are currently seeking experienced Lead Process Engineers to support a major clean water programme within a regulated UK framework. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex water infrastructure projects, working across multidisciplinary teams in a leadership capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering input on clean water systems, including:
    • Pumping stations, dosing and control systems
    • Hydraulic calculations, pump sizing and valve selection
  • Drive system optimisation focused on water quality and performance
  • Provide technical input into SCADA integration and commissioning activities
  • Lead and contribute to process safety activities including HAZOP, LOPA, and DSEAR
  • Collaborate closely with design, modelling, and commissioning teams
  • Take ownership of technical outputs and support delivery across the design lifecycle

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • Strong background in clean water process engineering
  • Proven experience in process design, including hydraulics and system calculations
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at Lead Engineer level within a design environment

Desirable

  • Chartered status (or working towards - CIWEM or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within Anglian Water or AMP programmes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capability

Rates

Competitive day rates (typically £500-£550, dependent on experience). Higher rates considered for candidates with strong AMP7/AMP8 and process safety leadership.
