The Opportunity
We are currently supporting a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation in the appointment of a
Senior Planner
to join their team on a permanent basis from their Newcastle office.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of major EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects within the power transmission, utilities, energy, and wider infrastructure sectors. The role offers the chance to work on a large-scale HVDC link project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules throughout the project lifecycle. Lead planning activities across major EPC infrastructure projects. Monitor project progress and performance against agreed programmes and milestones. Identify critical path activities, risks, delays, and mitigation strategies. Produce regular progress reports and planning updates for project stakeholders. Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, engineering functions, and delivery teams. Support programme governance and ensure planning best practices are consistently applied. Provide guidance and support to junior planners and wider project teams. Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a
Senior Planner ,
Project Planner , or similar planning professional. Proven track record delivering complex
EPC projects . Experience within
power transmission ,
utilities ,
energy , or major infrastructure environments. Strong proficiency in
Primavera P6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and schedule management. Experience on projects of a similar scale and complexity to
EGL1
would be highly advantageous. Package & Benefits
