An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a rapidly expanding SME specialising in electro-mechanical systems. This position, based in Southampton, will see you playing a pivotal role in developing solutions for multiple high-tech industries including automotive, aerospace, defence and rail. Key Responsibilities: Design and development of electro-mechanical systems Conducting thermal and stress analysis to ensure product integrity under operational conditions. FEA Utilising 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for design and simulation. Hand calculations Skills required: Mechanical Design: Minimum 3 years industry experience Thermal & Stress Analysis: Ability to perform detailed analysis to predict the performance under thermal and mechanical stresses. SolidWorks Proficiency: Expertise in using SolidWorks for mechanical design and analysis, with additional experience in SolidWorks Flow and vibration environments being highly desirable.
