We're supporting a leading engineering consultancy delivering critical infrastructure projects within the UK nuclear sector. Due to continued project growth, they’re seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join a major uranium enrichment programme. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term contract assignment working on nationally significant projects, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement and a strong pipeline of future work.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing electrical design deliverables including SLDs, cable schedules, schematics and equipment layouts
  • Developing cable routing and installation designs
  • Supporting multidisciplinary project teams across the full design lifecycle
  • Undertaking drawing checks and technical reviews
  • Producing and reviewing 3D models using industry-standard software such as Revit, AVEVA E3D and Navisworks

What we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience within industrial, energy, defence or nuclear environments
  • Strong LV electrical design capability
  • Excellent CAD and design office experience
  • Ideally experience with 3D modelling platforms
  • HNC, HND or equivalent electrical qualification
  • Security clearance will be required, or candidates must be eligible to obtain clearance.

We’re recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a large-scale National Highways programme focused on EV charging infrastructure and utility connections across multiple UK locations. This position would suit an engineer who enjoys technical problem solving, stakeholder engagement and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The role:

  • Reviewing EV charger load requirements and electrical demand assessments
  • Supporting DNO applications and capacity upgrades
  • Developing connection requirements for 11kV/LV distribution systems
  • Producing and reviewing single line diagrams, load schedules and technical documentation
  • Assessing connection options and advising on project delivery strategies
  • Engaging with DNOs, consultants and client stakeholders

Experience required:

  • LV and HV distribution knowledge
  • DNO connections experience
  • Understanding of RMUs, transformer arrangements and feeder pillars
  • Electrical infrastructure design experience
  • Working knowledge of UK standards and legislation
  • Ability to manage several sites and priorities simultaneously
