Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-profile, engineering-focused Bus Infrastructure project, seconded into Cumberland Council. Based in Carlisle on a contract running to December 2026, you'll join our client's team delivering sustainable transport and highways improvements within a complex local authority setting, working on a hybrid basis (two days onsite, three days remote) inside IR35 at £340 per day.

  • Bus Infrastructure: Proven track record delivering engineering-focused transport or bus-related infrastructure projects.

  • Procurement & Governance: Skilled in navigating public sector procurement processes and governance frameworks.
  • Contractor Management: Hands-on management of contractors, ensuring performance, compliance, and quality delivery.

  • Contract Management: Experience overseeing contracts, deliverables, and risk within public sector constraints.
