A leading global energy organisation is seeking two experienced Quality Specialist IV - Offshore QA/QC Inspectors to support a major offshore wind project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the largest offshore wind developments in the UK, ensuring the safe and high-quality installation and commissioning of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs).
As an Offshore QA/QC Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing inspection activities offshore, ensuring full compliance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). Your work will directly support the successful delivery of offshore wind turbine installation, energisation, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary interface with customer QA/QC teams during WTG installation, pre-energisation, and final walkdowns.
- Identify issues or discrepancies and work with multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor corrective actions.
- Coordinate inspection readiness in collaboration with vessel Supervisors and the Offshore Quality Coordinator.
- Review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and quality records promptly following offshore activities.
- Participate actively in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives; report any non-compliance.
- Execute inspections in accordance with Offshore ITPs to ensure full compliance with standards and specifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback and lessons learned with the Global Supply Chain.
- Collaborate with Document Control to manage and maintain offshore documentation.
- Identify, document, and resolve deviations, defects, or non-conformities; ensure accurate reporting in internal software systems.
- Support completions, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams with punch list closure and verification.
- Monitor and report on preservation of major components against acceptance criteria.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in parallel with operations and delivered to the client in a timely manner.
- Work closely with Vessel Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns.

- Offshore rotations (WIV/SOV based)
- Valid GWO Certification
- Previous offshore wind experience in mechanical, electrical, commissioning, or QA/QC inspection
- Technical or engineering qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines
- Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and offshore site safety practices
- Understanding of fabrication, assembly, coatings, NDT techniques, and HV electrical systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Highly organised, proactive, and self-motivated
