verview: We are currently seeking an experienced HV CAD Engineer to support a major National Grid project. This is a fully remote, Outside IR35 contract with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure within the UK energy sector. Key Responsibilities: Produce and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings for high-voltage substation projects. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and compliant design documentation. Support the delivery of detailed design packages in line with National Grid standards. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input where required. Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in substation design within the UK power transmission sector. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software (2D & 3D). Familiarity with National Grid standards and documentation processes. Ability to work independently and manage deliverables remotely.
