Job Title: HSEQ Advisor
Project Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced HSEQ Advisor to support a major petrochemical project in the Shetland Islands. This is a contract role offering excellent working conditions and support, ideal for professionals with a strong background in health, safety, environment, and quality within the petrochemical or oil & gas sectors.
Location: Lerwick, Shetland Islands
Contract Type: Freelance (Outside IR35)
Start Date: 15th September 2025
End Date: 31st December 2025
Day Rate: 430 per day
Rotation: 3 weeks on / 1 weeks off
Travel: Provided from Aberdeen to Lerwick
Accommodation & Meals: 3 meals per day and full accommodation provided
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and regulations across all project activities
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations
- Provide HSEQ training and guidance to site personnel
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with project and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with project teams to ensure continuous improvement in HSEQ performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HSEQ Advisor on petrochemical or similar industrial projects
- In-depth knowledge of UK HSEQ legislation and best practices
- Relevant HSEQ qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in remote locations on a rotational basis
