Overview

We are supporting a major industrial programme in Cambridgeshire as commissioning activity accelerates on site. We are seeking experienced Control Systems Commissioning Engineers with strong Rockwell exposure to support delivery across a complex automation and DCS environment. This is a hands-on role focused on system commissioning, testing, and integration within a live project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of Rockwell-based control systems, including:
    • ControlLogix / GuardLogix controllers
    • PlantPAx DCS architecture
    • FactoryTalk View (SE/ME)
  • Execution of FAT/SAT and site commissioning activities
  • Loop checks, I/O testing and functional validation
  • Integration of control systems with industrial networks (Stratix, Ethernet/IP)
  • Support system troubleshooting and fault finding during commissioning phases
  • Work closely with engineering, design and operations teams to ensure smooth handover
  • Assist with documentation, redlines and commissioning records

Requirements

  • Proven experience in control system commissioning within industrial or process environments
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:
    • Rockwell Automation suite (essential)
    • ControlLogix / GuardLogix
    • PlantPAx (highly desirable)
    • FactoryTalk View
  • Understanding of industrial networking (Stratix switches, redundancy concepts)
  • Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced commissioning environment
  • Comfortable working as part of a team but able to take ownership of workpacks

  • Experience on DCS-type systems or complex plant environments
  • Previous work in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or highly regulated sectors
