As a Planning Engineer, you will play a key role within the project team, collaborating with stakeholders to develop, maintain, and manage project programmes. You will be responsible for producing updates and delivering reporting outputs for both internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop breakdown structures, quality criteria, product descriptions, and monitoring strategies.
- Gather, document, and validate project assumptions to ensure plans are realistic and achievable.
- Interface regularly with project controls to ensure alignment between financial performance and the project plan.
- Support project delivery teams in optimising schedules through resource smoothing, resource levelling, and activity rescheduling.
- Identify and communicate resource requirements to support project delivery.
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are reflected and addressed within reporting outputs.
- Provide guidance on planning processes across the full project lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by promoting best practice in planning and reporting.
