A large solar EPC client of ours is looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to work on their ground mount solar farm project in the Gloucestershire area. This would be an 8‑10 week contract starting ASAP. For this role, you MUST have previous experience working on large-scale ground mount solar farms and have all the required certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise mechanical works, including assembly and installation of solar structures.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to maintain progress and quality.
- Monitor daily work schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe working practices.
- Inspect and verify mechanical installations against drawings and specifications.
- Report progress, issues, and solutions to the Project Manager.
- Assist in resolving technical challenges on‑site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and any variations.
Requirements:
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- First Aid (3‑day)
- Previous experience of working on a large-scale ground mount solar farm
- Availability to work on Saturdays
