Project Duration: 5 weeks

Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced SCO 2 Competent Person to support an upcoming project based in the New Forest. The role will involve working on a high-pressure gas site, carrying out critical maintenance activities to address a leaking flange in a safe and controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the SCO 2 Competent Person on site, ensuring all works are carried out in line with current gas safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Safely oversee and/or carry out the repair of a leaking flange on a high-pressure gas installation.
  • Implement and maintain strict adherence to permit-to-work systems and safety protocols.
  • Liaise with site supervisors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and safe completion of the works.
  • Conduct site risk assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are put in place.
  • Ensure compliance with SCO procedures, IGEM standards, and all relevant industry regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid SCO 2 Competent Person certification (essential).
  • Proven experience working on high-pressure gas systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in flange repair or similar mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work safely in a high-risk environment.
