The Continuous Improvement Engineer Role:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will lead initiatives to improve production performance, reduce waste and enhance quality across a fast-paced manufacturing site. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and support both existing production and new product introduction activities, across processes including machining, welding and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies including Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and output across machining, welding and fabrication processes
- Drive defect reduction through error-proofing and process control
- Support new product introduction from concept through to production
- Specify and validate equipment, tooling and fixtures
- Deliver cost reduction and value engineering projects
