We’re looking for a Junior Events Marketing Manager to join our team and work on a diverse portfolio of events, including annual conferences, bespoke receptions, and award programmes. You will support the Senior Events Marketing Manager in delivering effective campaigns across our events portfolio, helping to drive delegate attendance, award entries, and revenue targets. You will also collaborate with internal teams to create impactful, data-driven campaigns. This role is ideal for an experienced Marketing Executive ready to progress into a Junior Manager role, taking on greater ownership of campaign delivery and event marketing strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Marketing execution
- Deliver marketing plans to achieve delegate attendance and/or award entry targets with a focus on revenue.
- Manage multi-channel campaigns focused on audience acquisition.
- Analyse and report on campaign performance, ensuring continuous optimisation.
- Awareness of current news and market trends across media, politics, and business to enhance audience engagement and communication.
- Campaign management
- Oversee the creation of email marketing campaigns using HubSpot.
- Support audience segmentation and data optimisation.
- Support social media marketing efforts with content creation.
- Update and maintain event websites and registration portals.
- Coordinate with the commercial team and Senior Events Marketing Manager to help deliver sponsorship agreements.
- Assist in developing partnerships with associations and media partners.
- Support the delegate sales team with assets to assist delegate acquisition.
- Reporting and stakeholder management
- Work cross-functionally with the editorial, commercial, and events teams.
- Provide regular updates on campaign progress and performance to the Senior Events Marketing Manager and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain a structured reporting and analytics framework across all channels.
- Regularly monitor KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
Skills and experience
- Around 3 years’ experience in event marketing, ideally across multiple brands or event formats.
- Hands-on experience in email marketing, CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot), and audience segmentation.
- Understanding of audience segmentation and database management.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills, with attention to detail and brand tone.
- Proficiency in WordPress (basic HTML a plus) and design tools such as Canva.
- Confident with Excel and campaign performance reporting.
- Collaborative, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for delivering outstanding events and experiences.
