  • networking breakfasts
  • roundtables

While most events are based in London, we also deliver events across the UK and in New York. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering exceptional experiences for clients, sponsors and delegates.

The role

You’ll be responsible for managing your own allocated events from start to finish, while also supporting the wider operations team across the full events schedule. Responsibilities include:

  • managing allocated events end-to-end
  • supporting on-site event delivery across the wider events calendar
  • researching venues and event suppliers
  • delivering excellent customer service to sponsors, clients and delegates
  • managing budgets and reporting figures weekly to the Head of Events
  • negotiating with suppliers to ensure costs remain on target
  • providing regular project updates and escalating any concerns where appropriate
  • managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
  • collaborating with sales teams on sponsorship materials
  • working closely with marketing and production teams to deliver successful events

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

  • has demonstrated previous experience in events, typically gained over around 2 or more years
  • is confident working independently and taking initiative
  • has exceptional attention to detail
  • can manage competing priorities effectively
  • communicates confidently with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • is proactive, organised and solutions-focused
  • is able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy environment
  • has a genuine passion for events

Benefits

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Additional days off for your birthday, wellbeing and volunteering
  • Subscription access to our publications and online content
  • Discounted shopping platform
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay
  • Enhanced company sick pay after probation

This role follows our hybrid working approach, with employees typically working from home one day per week. Applications meeting the selection criteria will be reviewed as soon as possible. Progressive Media Investments values diversity and is an equal opportunities employer. Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments to participate fully in the recruitment process. Please note, applicants must already have, or be able to independently obtain, the right to live and work in the UK, as we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
