Role Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and objective advice and support to parents, enabling families to thrive.
  • Build meaningful, professional, and respectful working relationships with families in our centres, leading the assessment process and completing comprehensive assessments of parenting capacity.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload to tailor assessments to meet families’ needs and provide the best opportunities for success.
  • Receive line management, supervision, and support from dedicated social work practice managers.
  • Access legal advice, bespoke training, and opportunities to flourish and develop within the social work service.
  • Provide evidence-based, analytical, and comprehensive parenting assessments, offering clear recommendations for permanency planning for children and their families.

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold a Social Work Qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Possess a minimum of one year post-qualifying experience with children and families.
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work across multiple family assessment centres.
  • Be experienced in preparing high-quality parenting assessment reports for court.
  • Be honest, objective, and open when working with families to complete robust parenting assessments.
