Progressive Care are a well-known provider of children’s services with over 25 years of experience in providing outstanding outcomes for our young people.

We are now seeking to recruit a Residential Team Leader to join our team, to provide 1st Line Management support and care in a CQC registered Learning Disability Transition’s Home catering for young people and young adults aged between 16 and 25 years of age. The home is situated in a leafy suburb of Sheffield approximately a mile from the city centre. It will be your task to deliver under guidance from the Registered and or Deputy Manager, the coordination and delivery of the night time care provision, providing support to our young people with empathy and understanding and to demonstrate and model to your team, the ethos and working culture of Progressive Care, that will provide outstanding outcomes for all the young people in your care.

All of this will have the vast structured support from a wider Progressive Care Team who will support with Facilities Management, IT, HR, Quality Assurance, Psychology, Education, a wider system of peer support from the Registered and Deputy Managers, and a fantastic training and staff development team with a culture of training our staff to the highest levels with a view to promoting from within.

We are seeking experienced practitioners who possess the child centred values that we seek, and who can make our young people feel safe, supported, loved and heard. We want all of our staff members to not accept the status quo and to reach for the stars and be aspirational for all our young people and their team. The Team Leaders we seek will advocate for their young people and never accept adherence to accepted outcomes but will push to exceed these. Our Team Leaders will ensure that all practitioners are led and developed to have the same high standards with regards to ethos and aspiration via the mentorship and supervisions that they provide.

Requirements

  • To have achieved the Level 3 Residential Childcare or Level 3 Health and Social Care qualifications and be prepared and have the ability to develop further
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about children or adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism and potentially high levels of complexity of need
  • The ability to deliver outstanding outcomes for the young people in your care
  • The ability to evidence the work you complete and be prepared to be inventive to build trust and expand the young people’s experiences
  • You will be caring, approachable and empathic to all in your home with values that align to the ethos and values of Progressive Care
