As Assistant Head of Service, you will play a key role in ensuring our Family Assessment Centres deliver outstanding services, maintain regulatory compliance andachieve the best possible outcomes for families.
Your Role as Assistant Head of Service – Residential Family Assessment Centres
Reporting to the Head of Service, you will provide operational leadership across Residential Family Assessment Centres within an allocated region.
You will havedirect line management responsibility for Registered Managers and overallaccountability for regional service performance, including regulatorycompliance, quality assurance, safeguarding, staffing, occupancy and budgetmanagement.
Working closelywith the Senior Leadership Team, you will drive continuous improvement, develophigh-performing teams and ensure all centres operate in line with Progressive Care's values, policies and high standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provideleadership, support and line management to Registered Managers across theregion.
- Maintainoversight of the operational performance of all Family Assessment Centreswithin your allocated area.
- Leadon regulatory compliance, quality assurance and continuous improvementactivities.
- Ensuresafeguarding systems and practices are effective and embedded throughoutservices.
- Monitorand improve service performance, quality standards and occupancy levels.
- Overseeworkforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development.
- Monitorand manage regional budgets and resources effectively.
- Produceoperational, quality and performance reports for the Senior Leadership Team.
- Supportcontinued service development, innovation and growth opportunities.
- Participatein senior management on-call arrangements as required.
Requirements
- Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Significantleadership experience within Family Assessment Services, Children's Residential Care or a related social care setting.
- Experiencemanaging multiple services or provisions across a geographical region.
- Strongknowledge of safeguarding, regulatory compliance, quality assurance andgovernance.
- Provenability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Experienceof managing budgets and delivering operational performance targets.
- Strongcommunication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Theability to analyse performance data and implement effective improvementplans.
- Acommitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.
- Level5 Leadership and Management qualification (or equivalent).
- Managementexperience within Family Assessment Services.
- Experiencesupporting services through regulatory inspections.
- Relevantprofessional qualification in Social Work, Health or Social Care.
