As a Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading your service and ensuring exceptional outcomes for young people.
Your Role as a Registered Manager (Children’s Services)
You will lead and inspire a dedicated team to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver a calm, supportive environment that promotes development and wellbeing
- Ensure children experience positive opportunities to build confidence and life skills
- Create a culture where each child’s needs are recognised and met
- Deliver a consistent child-centred approach
- Drive service performance and maintain high standards of care
- Develop, implement, and review individual care plans
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and performance management
- Mentor and guide staff to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care
- Support staff development and continuous improvement
- Ensure full compliance with legislation, policies, and Ofsted requirements
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards)
- At least two years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of legislation, Ofsted standards, and regulations
- Experience completing risk assessments and producing clear reports
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Passion for supporting young people with complex needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, flexible approach with a focus on outcomes
