Your role as a Social Worker

  • Provide accurate and objective advice and support to parents, enabling families to thrive.
  • Build meaningful, professional, and respectful relationships with families, lead the assessment process, and complete comprehensive assessments of parenting capacity.
  • With a manageable caseload, get to know families well and tailor assessments to meet their needs, providing best opportunities for success.
  • Receive social work qualified line management, supervision, and support from dedicated social work practice managers.
  • Access legal advice, bespoke training, and opportunities within the social work service to flourish and develop.
  • Provide evidence-based, analytical, and comprehensive parenting assessments that give clear recommendations for permanency planning for children and their families.

Our Ideal Candidate Should

  • Have a Social Work Qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year’s post‑qualifying experience working with children and families.
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to work across a number of our family assessment centres.
  • Have experience in preparing high-quality parenting assessment reports for court.
  • Be experienced in working with families to complete robust parenting assessments, being honest, objective and open with them.
