What you will be doing

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Mortgage Support Services Team in a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the mortgage journey. You will play a key part in delivering a smooth, high-quality service by supporting mortgage completions, handling post-offer queries and working closely with colleagues across the Society. The team also supports customers and solicitors with mortgage account queries, including the maintenance and storage of Title Deeds. Along the way, you will gain broad exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Preparing mortgage accounts for deeds to be received and released
  • Instructing valuers
  • Making amendments through our core mortgage system
  • Issuing funds to solicitors
  • Carrying out a range of important mortgage administration activities

About The Role

What are your duties:

  • Mortgage completions moving accounts from internal systems and processing completion notifications to borrowers, Solicitors and brokers
  • Instructing valuers and downloading valuation reports
  • Monitor and process requests cancelling applications, accounts amendments, returned funds etc
  • Recording Title Deeds received
  • Monitor Deeds requests 2nd charges, land registry transactions etc
  • Process deeds work queue including dealing with Land Registry and update Deeds management system
  • Ongoing maintenance and storage of Title Deeds
  • Dealing regularly with our customers, brokers, solicitors, and third-party enquiries and working closely with our branch teams and management, through multi-channel communication
  • Preparation of mortgage accounts to release mortgage funds
  • Maintenance of records for change of name and update Deeds management system accordingly
  • Issuing Title Deeds to Solicitors / borrowers
  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge of our products and services to help resolve customer queries
  • Batch processes ensuring all mortgage conditions have been established for the release of mortgage advances to Solicitors/borrowers
  • Independently process post offer and stage payment queries, seeking support from Senior Administrators when required, while providing clear solutions and rationale for decisioning
  • Preparation and issue of Transfer Deeds - boundary rectification, grant of easements and master mortgage agreements
  • Transfer of Equity queries including processing acceptance and issuing Transfer Deed
  • Assisting and completing regulatory reporting duties and meeting deadlines

Required Criteria:

  • 6 GCSE passes (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Strong MS office and IT skills
  • Have a positive attitude with a passion for customer service
  • Ability to use initiative, work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines

Desired Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in a financial environment
  • Telephony experience
