A leading organisation operating within the built environment and digital planning sector is seeking a Marketing Executive to join its growing marketing and communications team. Working closely with senior communications and marketing colleagues, the successful candidate will support the creation and delivery of compelling content, thought leadership and events that strengthen the organisation’s industry presence, enhance brand reputation and generate meaningful engagement across the sector. The role will focus approximately 60% on content and thought leadership and 40% on events and industry engagement activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content & Thought Leadership
    • Research, draft and edit high-quality content including articles, blogs, press releases, newsletters and social media posts.
    • Support the development of thought leadership materials that position the organisation as an authority in planning, digital transformation and data.
    • Work with internal subject matter experts and external partners to translate technical insight into engaging, accessible content.
  • PR & Media Engagement
    • Support the delivery of PR activity, including preparing briefs for agency partners and reviewing messaging to ensure consistency with brand tone and strategic priorities.
    • Proofread and edit press materials and campaign content prior to publication.
    • Identify opportunities for media commentary, features and opinion pieces.
  • Email Marketing
    • Draft and deliver regular newsletters and marketing bulletins.
    • Analyse performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance engagement and reach.
    • Integrate thought leadership content across email campaigns.
  • Events
    • Support the planning and delivery of internal and external events, webinars and exhibitions.
    • Assist with event logistics, materials, merchandise and post-event communications.
    • Research speaking opportunities and industry events aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
    • Support marketing campaigns promoting events, partnerships and initiatives.
  • Social Media & Engagement
    • Develop engaging social media content to promote thought leadership, news and events across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with colleagues across marketing, brand and communications to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders, agencies and external partners to deliver high-quality marketing outputs.

Applicants must have: 1–3 years’ experience in a marketing, PR or communications role (agency or in-house). Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
