We are seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting supporting pupils with autism and complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism and complex needs
  • Supporting learning activities in line with individual education plans
  • Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
  • Supporting pupils' personal care where required

Ideal candidate

  • Be patient, resilient and empathetic
  • Have a positive and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
  • Have experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)

Training and ongoing professional development will be provided. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
