We are seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school setting supporting pupils with autism and complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with autism and complex needs
- Supporting learning activities in line with individual education plans
- Assisting with behaviour regulation and emotional support
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Supporting pupils' personal care where required
Ideal candidate
- Be patient, resilient and empathetic
- Have a positive and proactive approach to supporting pupils
- Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
- Have experience working with children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
