Progress Teachers are working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school in Stafford to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their practice within a supportive and forward-thinking department.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating an engaging learning environment and supporting students of all abilities to make strong academic progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons
- Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school policy
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations
- Use data to inform teaching and intervention strategies
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to the wider life of the department and school
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Mathematics or a related field
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom practice
- Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge learners
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities (desirable)
- Two satisfactory references
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
