A welcoming and well-regarded school for ASD Students is seeking a dedicated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join their friendly, multi-disciplinary team on a part time basis. This school supports children and young people with a primary diagnosis of Autism but sometimes have additional needs. The school community is passionate about providing a nurturing, person-centred environment where pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential through specialist, tailored support.
About the Role:
- Part time Speech and Language Therapist position
- ASAP start
- Work collaboratively within an established therapy and teaching team
- Deliver individual and small group interventions
- Contribute to and review pupils’ EHCP targets
- Provide training, advice and support to staff and parents
- Support the development of communication-friendly classrooms and resources
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a qualified and HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
- Be Band 6 or above
- Have experience working in a school or paediatric setting, ideally with complex needs and/or ASD
- Be confident designing and delivering tailored intervention plans
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be proactive, organised, and passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to communication and learning
