The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

Progress Teachers are working closely with a rural Alternative Education Provider to appoint a skilled and qualified SEN Teacher to form part of a successful multi-disciplinary team and support pupils aged 7-17 with ASC & SEMH.

This position is to be initially offered on a fixed term basis from August-December 2025 but will be subject to review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individual and small group lessons aligned with the school s curriculum
  • Develop and review individual education and behaviour plans
  • Monitor, record, and report student progress
  • Manage and support challenging behaviour positively and effectively
  • Collaborate with care staff and other departments to ensure consistent support
  • Organise a stimulating and safe classroom environment
  • Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to school development plans

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
