Progress Teachers are working closely with a rural Alternative Education Provider to appoint a skilled and qualified SEN Teacher to form part of a successful multi-disciplinary team and support pupils aged 7-17 with ASC & SEMH.
This position is to be initially offered on a fixed term basis from August-December 2025 but will be subject to review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individual and small group lessons aligned with the school s curriculum
- Develop and review individual education and behaviour plans
- Monitor, record, and report student progress
- Manage and support challenging behaviour positively and effectively
- Collaborate with care staff and other departments to ensure consistent support
- Organise a stimulating and safe classroom environment
- Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to school development plans
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
