A welcoming and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Hounslow is seeking an experienced and ASD Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis within their well-established ASD Unit.

This is a maternity cover role starting in September 2025, 3 days per week, and would suit a teacher with a strong background in autism support who is confident working with pupils with a range of complex needs.

The school is proud of its nurturing ethos, positive behaviour culture, and strong provision for children with EHCPs. You will be joining a skilled and supportive team that prioritises inclusive practice, pupil well-being, and staff collaboration.

The Role:

  • Teach a small group of pupils with autism and additional needs in a dedicated ASD unit

  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes tailored to EHCP outcomes

  • Work closely with teaching assistants and the school SENCO to deliver high-quality, consistent support

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress and adapt strategies accordingly

  • Foster a safe, structured, and communication-rich learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching pupils with autism and associated communication or sensory needs

  • Understands a range of strategies including PECS, visual timetables, and social stories

  • Is confident managing a team of support staff and liaising with families and external professionals

  • Brings empathy, patience, and creativity to every lesson
