Established over 35 years with a reputation for excellent customer service and support, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of capital equipment used to ensure medical/surgical products are effectively decontaminated/sterilised, ensuring patient safety.
Β£35β40k Base Salary (depending on qualifications and experience) / Company bonus and excellent package including car or van and all expenses / corporate benefits. Strong career progression pathway and ability to earn more once established in the business.
Usual hours Monday β Friday, 45βhour week with the option for overtime. You will be asked to be available for a minimum of 4 weekends throughout the year, but can work more if desired.
Area 1 β South West / Central UK β ideal base Bristol, Worcester, Swindon.
Area 2 β East Sussex, Eastbourne, Bexhill, Brighton running to Crawley in the north.
This role focuses on the following product portfolio β market leading range of capital equipment and consumables that sterilise/decontaminate endoscopes after patient use. Additional solutions include drying and storage systems. You will be working in public and private hospitals.
Role
The Field Based Engineer will be responsible for the planned maintenance, breakdown/emergency repair and validation service visits across their region. They will have work allocated two weeks in advance to ensure a workable diary and be fully supported by an internal scheduling team.

The key characteristics needed are a fantastic attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine hunger to work in a strong supportive team environment. We are seeking can-do, will-do characters who own and solve problems.
Experience required
- Individuals with Field Service experience within the endoscopy decontamination space are appreciated.
- Candidates who are experienced field service engineers from the medical device or associated markets are also of huge interest (life science etc).
- However, experienced field service professionals used to working on any capital equipment (electrical focus) looking for a long-term career will absolutely be considered.
- As will engineers from the forces looking for a commercial role.
It is likely candidates outside the decontamination/medical space without validation experience/qualifications will be considered at the lower starting salary level.
