The Role
- Ensure all materials that are delivered to the business are accompanied with the correct documentation i.e. advice note with the correct purchase order and C of C and escalated any issues to the Stores team lead / Materials Manager.
- Receive and Issue materials to and from the designated stores areas.
- Generate despatch notes, picking lists, transfer orders, counting journals and packing lists and ensure that intermediate stock, finished goods and raw material are correctly located on the system.
- Book Transport and arrange collections with suppliers and customers to meet delivery deadlines.
- Use counter-balance fork lift trucks to move materials around the sites whilst maintaining the highest standard of safety to personnel, equipment and materials.
- Load and unload vehicles to Company procedures and legislative safety standards.
- Ensure that all company material storage / stock areas are maintained in a safe and tidy condition and that materials are always stacked safely.
- Support and maintain internal stock locations for accuracy by supporting PI checks and undertake stocktakes as required within the stores team.
- Ensure all admin is maintained to a high level and is kept up to date for auditable purposes.
- Help monitor and report on stock levels and shortages – liaise with Team Lead and Materials Manager to ensure material shortages are addressed.
- Understanding of the quality standard required for each job. Never dispatch materials which are suspected of, or confirmed with Non-Conformances.
The Candidate
- Experience within a warehouse stock control manufacturing environment.
- MRP / ERP experience is advantageous.
- Competent IT skills.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Highly motivated – able to work as part of a team as well as the initiative to work alone as and when required.
- Effective time management – able to work within tight timescales in line with production requirements / needs.
- Flexibility to move between sites if required.
- Flexibility to work shifts.
