Job Description

As a Machine Shop Technician you will be required to

  • Maintain and promote a safe and tidy working environment in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Operate in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance System and help to improve/develop processes.
  • Solve production problems and continuously improve in all areas of operation.
  • Structure and prioritise work in a logical and orderly manner to achieve business & personal objectives.
  • Work within Health, Safety & Environmental procedures.
  • Ensure the accurate use of the Time & Attendance systems.
  • Respond professionally and innovatively to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers, ensuring that quality standards are never conceded.
  • Be aware, and actively reduce the incident rate, of Non-Conforming errors within the team.
  • Create a “Clean-as-you-go” policy and maintains W. I. P. and stock areas.
  • Ensure plant and equipment is maintained safely and fit for purpose, reporting and resolving defects.
  • Willingness to be trained in other production areas.
  • Adhere to safety, health, environmental and quality policies and procedures.
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours where reasonably required.
  • Promote and adhere to the ‘Values in Action’.
  • Complete any other duties as deemed reasonable by management.

Qualifications

  • Maths-based mechanical aptitude.
  • Team player.
  • Results focused.
  • Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Up to £33,500 DOE (including shift allowance).
