About the Role
As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play a key part in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents at our Independent Living Schemes in Leyland and Penwortham. Your work will directly support the wellbeing and comfort of our residents, helping them to maintain their independence.
This is a part‑time, site‑based role offering 20 hours per week—ideal for those looking for flexibility and a better work‑life balance. We can negotiate the hours and days you work, splitting locations to work in either location on the day of your choice, however as a priority we ideally would like you to be available on Fridays and Mondays.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all communal areas, including internal glazing and staircases.
- Daily cleaning of communal toilets and walk‑in showers to ensure hygiene and comfort for all residents.
- Vacuum main entrance, hallways, corridors, and other shared spaces, in line with the expectations set by the Estate Services Manager and the Domestic Coordinator.
- Manage stock levels by ordering cleaning materials and carrying out regular inventory checks.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in cleaning, ideally in a residential or communal setting.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Ability to follow procedures and work to a high standard independently.
- Calm and composed approach when dealing with emergencies.
- Self‑motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative.
