A competitive salary of £26,423 pro‑rata for a 16‑hour per week, fixed‑term contract until September 2027. Site‑based position at Progress Living, Grantham. Working hours: Monday 10:00‑13:30; Tuesday 10:00‑13:00; Wednesday 10:00‑13:00; Thursday 10:00‑13:00; Friday 10:00‑13:30.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the full range of cleaning duties in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with COSHH and Health & Safety policies.
  • Carry out scheduled and ad hoc duties to maintain environmental cleanliness and appearance, such as curtain changing, bed cleaning, and carpet shampooing.
  • Safely operate power‑driven equipment, work at heights, and use all required safety equipment and PPE.
  • Order cleaning supplies regularly and ensure timely procurement when needed.
  • Inspect delivered cleaning materials for quantity, quality, condition, and expiry; report shortages, damage or incorrect deliveries to the Operational Manager and store materials properly.
  • Bag, handle, and store all waste correctly at all times.
  • Respond to occupant enquiries, acting accordingly and maintaining a positive, “can‑do” attitude.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in implementing the Group’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring staff are informed of updates.

Qualifications and skills

  • Highly motivated, independent worker with excellent housekeeping skills and previous housekeeping experience.
  • Motivated to undertake further training and able to work as part of a team.
  • Strong customer‑service skills, with experience dealing with customers considered an advantage.
