About The Role

Working as an Electrician in our Property Services team, you’ll carry out a wide range of electrical works. You will mostly be carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance in both domestic voids and occupied properties. The role may occasionally require making good after works, including basic repairs, joinery, or plumbing to restore access areas or finishes. Your work will directly support the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our tenants.

  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely, effective resolutions.
  • Conducting periodic inspection and testing in line with regulations (depending on experience)
  • Ensuring compliance with the latest electrical safety standards
  • Working respectfully in occupied homes, maintaining a professional and courteous approach
  • Supporting void property turnaround to ensure homes are ready for new tenants
  • Participating in our on-call rota (currently 1 in every 20 weeks) to respond to emergency repairs

What We Are Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Proven experience in domestic electrical work, ideally within Domestic or Social Housing environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Inspection & Testing – desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in both void and tenanted properties
  • Familiarity with using mobile job management systems or handheld devices
  • Excellent communication skills and a respectful approach when working in occupied homes
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 in every 20 weeks)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and holiday entitlement
  • Company van provided for travel to and from work
  • Tools, equipment, and uniform supplied
  • Pension scheme and employee benefits
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and career development
  • Supportive and inclusive working environment
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact in local communities
