Leading the transition to next‐generation Technology Enabled Care. Progress Housing Group is seeking an experienced, forward‐thinking leader to become the next Director of Progress Lifeline — a pivotal role at a time of major transformation across the technology enabled care (TEC) sector.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a highly regarded service through the national transition from analogue to digital TEC, shaping how people are supported to live safely and independently in their homes for years to come. Following nearly 20 years of inspirational leadership, we are now looking for a Director who can take Lifeline into its next chapter.

About Progress Lifeline: Progress Lifeline delivers technology enabled care services that help people live independently through telecare, assistive technology and monitoring solutions. Working in partnership with local authorities, housing providers, and health and social care organisations, Lifeline plays a critical preventative role across communities — providing reassurance, safety and peace of mind to customers and families.

The opportunity: The TEC sector is undergoing one of the biggest changes in its history. As Director of Progress Lifeline, you will:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the service
  • Lead the transition from analogue to digital technology enabled care
  • Strengthen and grow partnerships across housing, health and social care
  • Identify opportunities to innovate, modernise and develop services
  • Ensure strong governance, risk management and financial performance
  • Inspire and lead teams through sector transformation and technological change

This role sits at the intersection of housing, technology, health and social care — offering the chance to influence systems, services and outcomes at scale.

About you: You are a senior leader who can balance strategic vision with operational delivery, particularly during periods of change. You may come from backgrounds such as:

  • Technology Enabled Care / Telecare
  • Assistive technology
  • Telecoms or digital services
  • Housing, health or social care

You will bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience within complex services
  • Experience leading service transformation or digital change
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder management capability
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify service development opportunities
  • A leadership style that brings people with you through change

Experience in technology enabled care is advantageous, but not essential — we’re equally interested in transferable leadership and transformation expertise.

Why join Progress Housing Group? Progress Housing Group is a values‐driven organisation committed to improving lives and supporting communities. Progress Lifeline plays a vital role in enabling independence, safety and dignity — and this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of technology enabled care while making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
