An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding Progress Careers Team as a Careers Advisor. The ideal candidate should be able to support the smooth and efficient running of contracts, the effective overview of central records, and develop strong communications with all key stakeholders. This role is part-time, working 2 days per week.

About Us: Progress Careers is a part of The Progress Group, which is made up of six business units, each aspiring to innovate, influence, and inspire others through high-quality and purposeful education and training.

Purpose: To provide professional career guidance services, including personal guidance interviews, to improve young people's skills, knowledge, and understanding of career planning and management. Its objective is to provide high-quality impartial and independent career information, advice, and guidance in a range of sectors, focusing on students within the secondary school sector and those at a later point in their career pathway.

The aim is to provide the tools required to make informed choices about next progression moves while supporting schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) to meet their statutory requirements in relation to the Gatsby benchmarks.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, particularly in English and Maths. Qualified (L6 or prepared to work towards).
  • Experience: Experience in managing databases, filing systems, and handling HR-related tasks such as safer recruitment and onboarding. Experience working with Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and other relevant software.
